    I’ve still not given up on it. All it takes is a couple of games going our way and we’re in with a shout.

    I know it’s unlikely, but the fact it’s even possible for us at this stage of the season is truly astounding.

    It's going to be tough missing our Captain for 3 games. It killed us losing Mcgeehan in 2019. Didn't we draw the next three?

    I’ve not learned much in 50 years of watching us and football. One thing I think I know is that it’s a team sport and often I see team selections and think ‘oh no we will lose that without x,y,z’. I’m usually then surprised how well we do. Val for sure will use it as motivation and demonstrate once again his commitment to our team (formerly called squad)

    He’s a great player, but we always have another 10 out there doing well too. I think we’ll get more than three points even if he’s out.
