    I remember a game last season when we had a player sent of after the ref played advantage and when Steele made the save he called play back gave the pen and sent of Foster

    Hull City away. Slight pull of the shirt, advantage given, player ran on had a cracking effort at goal which caused steele to pull off a great save. Ref blew the whistle and gave a penalty and sent foster off with Shackell folowing a few minutes later.

    They make it up as they go along.

    Difference is he didn't score so there is no advantage, if he'd have scored then the ref sent foster off then it would be comparable.

    He did have the advantage though. He went on and had good goalscoring opportunity but Steele saved it. The definition of advantage is not that it must result in a goal.

    If a goal hadn't been scored, the ref would have given the penalty & Cech would have been sent off.
    If he played for any other team then Chelski or Manure     :rolleyes: :eek:
