Anyone know which one I mean? Never really seen anyone else do it, it's usually when he's on the touchline. Fools 'em every time.
When he had that chance in the first half I said to my old man bet he does his move here seconds later rolls it over back he goes boom beat his man does it all time and works
"can't control a ball" "no technique" "works hard but no footballing brain or skill" "can't score for toffee" Just a few things I read on Owlstalk when they were judging him from his time with them. Think it ought to be dawning on them by now that perhaps it's their club and their manager/tactics/players/fans etc with the issue. We're not talking about a purple patch here. COGba has been consistently this good since he arrived. I wouldn't swap him for any other striker in the division. And I mean that. He's easily the best striker we've had of his ilk since Neil Shipperley. Although I'm not the first to suggest this.
I think part of the success of it is down to no defenders expecting such a big striker to have that level of skill. Quality.
one thing I saw that was equally as good as his turn was a chest pass he did 2nd half perfect for the man running on to the ball.
I enjoy the way he sticks his butt out to stop the opposition from getting the ball. First thing I noticed about him when he came to Barnsley.
It's not my fault he's a fittie. We have some pretty good eye candy on our books atm. O'Grady, Pederson, Steele and Wiseman's alright. Pity JOB and Paddy let the side down.
It looks like someone on the official website has taken note of your comments: (for Facebook users) https://www.facebook.com/barnsleyfootballclub?hc_location=stream
You are right Nudger our full backs were very poor.. good job that Cuprinol wasnt on from the start glad he had that fence to paint cos we would have been in big trouble..had he started...they missed some chances we would have been slating our lads for..... no wonder they got booed off at half time. had obrian been in a boxing match in the second half it would have been stopped he was murdered and given no support...Wiseman AWOL..but what a great goal..and something that was a bit special for me was OGrady turning thier defence inside out with 2 great peces of skill NOT mentioned anywhere... Where was the pass and move? Individual players such as Jim Jim, COG and Perkins put their usual shift in........but not all of the players were putting the energy in all at the same time........consequently it was a sort of fits and starts, scrappy performance Kennedy is not good enough for this division and was caught out of position on a few occasions. If Boro had any quality up front we would have been 3 nil down before Paddy decided to take matters into his own hands. As much as I like Wiseman, he did a great job in the first half but Boro changed it during the interval and caused us all sorts of problems down our right hand side. Time after time their left winger was able to get crosses into the box. Boro deserved at least a point. WE NEED TWO NEW FULL BACKS............definitly a left back. I noticed Butterfield in the first half before he was taken off.........I didn't notice Fox throughout the whole of the match........which about sums that up. So we are two full backs and a central midfielder (unless Kelvin comes back) short of a team. On that performance I cannot see us beating Wendy..........their strongest positions are their wingers.........these will be up against our weakest link. But after saying all that............had a great day, before, during and after the match.
