10 points from 12 ... wonderful.... and yet to concede a goal in the league. OK so we are 3rd , but we are in a very strong position... I for one would have snapped the hand off if offered this at the start of the season... its fantastic. Hopefully another clean sheet Saturday even if its 0-0 will do me... it tells the other teams they need to be pretty special to crack us, and that will weigh heavy on their minds.... well chuffed for Moore that's totally gonna unleash him now. We also still have the loan option if we really need to do so.... I am wondering if we may not bother with it, so far it seems we do not need to.
Won’t be happy drawing with Scunny. We need to go there and win, keep the momentum going. I’m not too bothered about clean sheets (nice stat having not conceded yet though) provided we win. Scunny will be a good barometer of where we are. Sunderland beat them 3-0. Be good to see how we do.
Victor will come on as the season progresses, but we shouldn’t get over excited about 2 tap ins. Yes he had to be there, but he also missed a couple of right sitters when he started against Blackpool - which is to be expected. I think he could be a very good player. He’s done better than I expected from what I saw of him in U23s. Which is really pleasing. If one, or god forbid both, of Bradshaw and Moore were injured we can’t rely on VA yet, and we don’t have anyone else to play that role. Should definitely strengthen whilst we are doing well. Should be easier to attract players to a buoyant club. I don’t think we should use loans - we should identify the best talent, and buy them (loan with an obligation to buy).
A very good watch indeed. Rochdale will not be up there, but they will upset a fair few teams at Spotland. Great team performance Hope Dimi was just a precaution and he is ok for Saturday
Scunny on their own patch are always a tough nut to crack. However, continue in this vein and another 3 points is very doable
Yep, think it will be our toughest test yet. Really hope we can show tonight’s level of performance. Get a new face in and that would be an added boost. Other than Moncur I don’t see game changers on the bench.
We both definitely agree on this approach I just hope the powers that be do too. It would be foolish to not have a ready to go replacement. Maybe another gem like Kenny
That could mean many things but I reckon they put a hell of a lot into Saturday and gassed out. We didn’t - and didn’t. Either way Walsall smashing them doesn’t make them a better side than us necessarily. I think we’re a match for anyone in the league, I’d be surprised if we drop out of the top six at any point. I can see us, the Mackems and Portsmouth being the top three, there’s usually a side does well who’s come up from league two.
Add Peterborough into that mix and I think you will have the top four teams battling for the two automatic promotion places.
When the season gets really going ie after say 10 to 15 games I think we will already have a nice lead. We will hit the top spot and take some shifting someone said 100 points why not.
Still early days but I agree with the 4 teams. Imagine if we pip Peterborough on the last game of the season again.
Brief highlights from the Crown Oil Arena courtesy of Sky. A well taken hat-trick from the big fella now hopefully sets the scene for the remainder of the season. Need to get Bradders weighing in with his fair share and we could be in for a very memorable campaign.! http://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/11478930/rochdale-0-4-barnsley
Best thing about that, two fabulous crosses from Moore and Pinillos, something that we’ve lacked in the last couple of games. Shame they didn’t show more of the build up, particularly to Moore’s second, which was sublime.
