Don't think I've ever enjoyed a win so little in my life. 2nd half seemed to go on forever, and the longer it went on the less likely it seemed we'd score.

Thought George Williams had a superb game even before the goal. Was it just me that thought it looked a fairly soft header?

Alnwick made some great saves - think if we'd scored before half time we'd have smashed them, which would have been handy for the goal difference. Never the easy way with the Reds is it?

Anyway - great effort to keep going to the end, and we got the win we deserved eventually. 2 more now, and I'm sure we'll finish in the top 6. Big ask though still with the games we've got left.

Absolutely incredible achievement to still be in this race. Yooooooooooooooooouuuuuu Reds!

I'd abandoned all hope of scoring too; I'm still not sure how it crept in. Some sat around me thought that Alnwick palmed it in but I'd like to see it again.

Like you say a very uncomfortable and at times frustrating second half but we got the three points. You reds.

i think everybody had given up and were trying to take consolation from another 0-0 & clean sheet. but how goals can change things, this is massive now at the Blunts. nothing will be sorted out in this game so it also counts what we do against colchester at home. are they down now ?

ironically, after alnwick looked like he'd singlehandedly got them a point, he ****** up and dived over the header. that would have felt like a defeat. huge goal

No. They're eight points behind Shrewsbury with nine to play for.

Both they and Doncaster can go down on Saturday - Colchester probably will; Doncaster might hang on for another week.

oohh right, ive looked at their place in the table and as you say 8 points and goal diff behind with only 9 to play for.
but maybe thats a myth anyway, do we think teams really dont bother when they have already gone up or gone down ?
