Bowlers appeared to lose their composure this morning.

A win is a win though , roll on Old Trafford.

    Missed most of it

Was out until a few mins ago
Came in and put the box on to check we'd won and got a very nasty surprise to see the Aussies only needed a few more to win.

Great relief when that finger went up

His glove wasn't touching the bat so not out shoul dhave been given. However, two overs earlier, he should have gone LBW.

Without McGrath I think we can win the rest of the tests.

Our bowlers have shown that we can bowl the Aussies out inside a day. We just need the batsmen to have a decent innings i.e.
400+ in the 1st innings and I think we can beat them.

I was worried they WERE going to get hammered - who wasn't. I was very negative when they only needed 3 runs too - who wasn't. Do I now have to turn round and say I am gutted Australia lost just because I was worried?

Why did you think we were gonna get hammered???

There wasnt much in the Lords test to suggest that the game at Edgbaston wasnt going to be anything but competitive.(battered)

Is this an ironic post ,

As you said that you thought we were gonna get hammered 3 posts up in this thread.

    Just annoys me that

people decide that England will lose based on one days play and then refuse to acknowledge they were wrong that in pronouncing that prediction. Especially as Australia hadn't even batted when comments on here were saying England had thrown it away.

    Fence jumping? On here? Never.

Great game, with Freddy getting a well-deserved Man of the Match. Just ahead of Shuker, apparently.

Here we go. I thought this board was too "nice". I may as well refrain from commenting in future.

    stop being so bloomin'

    mardy.

You said on Thursday we'd thrown the game away, and the Aussies would hammer us. I'm just pointing out, as I did at the time, that there was still four days to go.

Now stop being such a grump. Tsk, Beatles fans they're all the same.
