I've just searched YouTube for that - couldn't find it!

Nasty, very nasty - can't believe he was only booked! The FA will surely punish him when they look at the video...

    Zidane's weren't that bad really...

A sending off of course but compared to Thatcher's which was wild and could've caused more damage than it actually did.

I remember the Keane one quite well - dirty b*stard! Surprised Mitch Ward wasn't on there, or Sheridan! Or Jorge Santos (maybe?) when he played for the Blunts and Warnock threw that game against West Brom?

Or Danny Maddox when we played Washday and he kicked Morgan two-footed in the face when he (Maddox) was on the deck - I think the ref was stood about a yard away and did f*ck all...

I understand that because the referee has seen the incident and given a yellow card the FA aren't allowed to do anything more with it? I hope that's not true. If it is, Man City should suspend him and fine him heavily.

You might have a point there but surely it could be argued that even if he's kept his elbow down it was a booking and, if the ref didn't see the elbow, he's commited violent conduct on top of the foul?

I'd be surprised if we've heard the last of it.

Football365 are flogging "Ban Thatcher For Life" tee-shirts at the mo!

I would be glad if he did get a life ban. It's not like football would miss him! Bloody animal.

It was a disgraceful challenge without a doubt...

You see all the Man City fans applauding it / him though?
