Dad died yesterday after being in hospital all week following a stroke.

Just got back from sorting through some of his things at the house, hence missing a home game.

    Thanks Dave

I'm having a "roller coaster" of a time at the moment

Proposed to my American girlfriend just over a week ago, and fortunately she had the chance to meet dad before he suffered the stroke (perhaps the shock of my announcement did it!), then the day after he's in hospital!
The bellsing is that he didn't seem to suffer too much and passed quickly, but to be sat there with him as he went will be something that I'll never forget.

one moment I'm thinking of a funeral and the next I'm thinking about a wedding!

    Cheers

Those your quad bikes parked up at the bottom of the High Street? Saw them this morning, and a Banners van at the top of dad's street.

Judging by the number of people in the village that we've heard from already - sounds like we may have quite a turn out for him!

    Sorry to hear that

Spoke to Chris at the match but he didn't mention it. I did wonder why you were in absentis though.
    That explains a lot.

    Tough times, mate. Chin up.
