Mossto - 8 - unlucky or maybe just not good enough for English football? We will never know. Odejayi - 9 - probably never will be good enough for this level of football. Shame but he has to go too. So, room for two new star strikers to come into the "First Eleven".
Mostto came on as sub, scored a goal and got dropped. Odejayi plays all season scores **** all and keeps playing. Madness
he has a point though Miguel impresses, then gets dropped. KO plays like a donkey, and plays the next week...
Barnsley Played 45 games for us last season and 23 for us so far this season (out of 28 possible games), i'd say that's not bad going for a striker when we've got 7 to choose from.
Appearences for all our strikers this season Macken: 26 Odejayi: 23 Rigters: 17 Hume: 16 mostto: 10 Cureton: 7 Coulson: 3 Lazarus: 2 Adam: 1 I'd say Davey's shown quite a lot of faith in a striker that isnt scoring or setting up goals
RE: Show starts and sub appearances Name: Total appearences - Starts (from the bench) - goals
Macken: 26 - 22 (4) - 6 Odejayi: 23 - 7 (16) - 1 Rigters: 17 - 4 (13) - 0 Hume: 16 - 16 (0) - 4 mostto: 10 - 2 (8) - 1 Cureton: 7 - 6 (1) - 2 Coulson: 3 - 0 (3) - 0 Lazarus: 2 - 0 (2) - 0 Adam: 1 - 0 (1) - 0

He's second on appearences, third on starts and joint 4th on goals

I don't think 7 starts counts as "played all season" But I can see the point you are making. He is not good enough but he sometimes causes problems for the opposition when he comes on as sub, even if we don't actually score. I think that's why he has so many sub appearances.
I'm not defending him But surely it is not as bad as that. Derby at home this season is one I remember where he changed the game in our favour, although I can't remember whether he actually had any assists or not. He assisted himself to score against Sheff United. Why we continually ridicule players in this way is beyond me. What is the point of abusing players? Will it make them play better? Or is it just a way of hounding them out of the club? He is IMO not good enough at our level, but he is not a "clown" as some people claim. I wish I could have been as good a footballer as him at his age.
I don't know how old he is What I mean is ability is relative. In my youth I played local football, for various pub teams, as a keeper. If I had been as good as KO (when I was his age, what ever that is) I would have played as a striker at a much higher level. I never got abused or laughed at because I was a "clown" or whatever, because I was playing at my level and did what was expected of me at that level. KO's problem is that he has found himself playing at a level inconsistent with his ability, and needs to drop down a division or 2. That shouldn't make him the target for abuse or ridicule, he should move on with our best wishes and find his level.
I've never called the lad a clown Or abused him. Not that I can recall anyway. I don't believe he's contributed very much in the time he's been here and I highlighted that in the above light hearted post. I do believe he should move on though.
I wasn't refering to you He has been called all sorts by some on here (not you). I think his body language in some of the games he has played shows how much all this abuse has affected his confidence. Your post was lighthearted as you say, but if I was KO and read it I would have felt a bit insulted. Having said that we both agree he should move on, and if he was honest I would imagine he can't wait to get away. I for one will wish him well as he has never given anything less than 100%. I hope he scores a bagful of goals for someone else as long as they are not in competition with us.
Agree with you Stahlrost. I just hope he doesn't read any of the abuse he gets on this site, coz one thing's for sure, it won't make him any better. So why some on here go in for ridicule is beyond me.
