With the worst 45 mins I've watched in 43 years. No defending that, lack of quality all over, but for me no desire at all, we just look like we don't want it enough, players at walking pace at times swanning around like we've nothing to play for. Embarrassing performance, I'd have this lot in on overtime 6 days a week, seriously need to stop feeling sorry for themselves and start showing graft and putting their bodies on the line.
It's professional sport where teams at the very least are well drilled and organised so even though we might have better players they still need to know their roles in the team and be motivated but I don't think we've got or ever really had a clear plan of what we're trying to do on the pitch which then reflects badly on the players.
They will be having a day off today they don't deserve. They should be on the training 9itch trying to get a grip of the basics expected or professional Football players on six figure annual salaries.
They've worked with Collins for 8 months without getting a grip on what he wants so the last month of the season doesn't bode well
totally agree the football 1st half was totally shocking and only improved when kane came on 2nd half- again tip tapping across back 3 giving em time to push up- more long kicks to nobody aqnd when Cosgrove did get the ball gave it back to them.Don`t think he is good enough as a target man= got to blame Collins for this. my wife does not have a UEFA coaching badge. She hit the nail on the head when she said we don't have a plan. To me it seems 11 individuals turn up and sometimes it gels and sometimes it doesn't. If we can see its not working and needs a change why can't the coaching staff? And for the ones who suggest Devaney takes over he's in the dugout and doesn't seem to get in Collins ear at all. We will get battered in the playoffs if things dont change rapidly
We are getting progressively worse, you can see players looking around when they have the ball as in "what do I do, where do I go" We pass across the back 3, the wing backs push on, then there not good enough in an attacking sense when they recieve the ball so come inside and play a square ball, midfield then play upto a central striker who loses possession and then we go again
