Other than Colgan, I'm sure there was another player who had an absolutely diablolical game but I can't remember who it was. I think it was either Burns or Kay. Can anyone remember??
I thought it was Burns. Sir Bobby must have been out of favour again. NB I should also correct myself and say the 7-1 debacle at the City Of Manchester Stadium.
Only player that put a shift in that day was Barry Conlon.. Remember we didn't get tickets til on the day, went to the box office at the stadium who gave us tickets for home end.... Spent the entire first half listening to the laughing about our performance.. End of half, approached a steward who escorted us through the ground to the away seating..
Very true. A shame he didn't always play in central midfield - he would have had a far more successful Korea.
Hassell played the game, think it was three at the back him kay and Tom Williams, robbie Williams at lwb, rwb I thought was shuker but it could have been burns with shuker in front of him in midfield with mcphail. And an other. It was a pretty shocking performance. I was late there due to an accident on a1 before the m62, missed the first 15 mins or so, me and the mate had just been sat down a couple of mins, had been told that we weren't doing too bad so far, when lovely person features Joey Barton scored. It was five by half time wasn't it? Second half was a waste of time - that bald bloke of there's sibierski scored a couple but I seem to remember Bradley wright-Phillips coming on, him getting one on a plate from his brother and still missing. We are a much better side now. But then so are they - they had Jon Macken up front that day.
