He's been crap lately, deserves dropping, he's dropped more clangers lately than anybody, it's no good living on past glory or that he might come good again - He's out of form at the moment and a presidence shouldn't be set for out of form players to think they have a devine right to pull on the shirt every Saturday - I don't dislike Kay at all but only want to see him back in the side when he's hit form again & like anybody that has to be proved. I'm sick of hearing people on here trying to pick a team on 'past glories', simple fact is unless you roll the dice and try some different combinations to get a winning formula the only place we're going is down. It might be Daveys downfall in the end chopping and changing the side - but one things for sure if you all think that the side we had under AR was keeping us up then your badly wrong - at least we're taking a punt on a few different players to see what happens - Wonder how many Kay, Hayes, Heckingbottom fans etc.. will be on here praising Davey if we stay up on goal difference at the end of the season.....remember this post & we'll see!!
Agree with where you are coming from but I do think that Kay has been treat unfairly. He has mad a few mistakes recently but no more so than Reid, Hassell or Eckersley. I think it is personal between Davey and Kay. At the very least Kay should be in the squad. On his day he is the best CB at the club (not including Nyatanga). But like i say I agree with your post about the club in general. And I think we will stay up.
RE: I agree he should be rested No offence mate but the only people humiliating him are the perpetual whingers on this Board who won't be happy until they've been proved right. The only fair point is that Kay is clearly not the only player who is not performing
Is it true that AK's step-father took over the academy side when Davey was appointed manager? Did the academy side's results swow a marked up-turn? Is it possible that Davey resents AK or at least bears some kind of grudge. Davey's petulant management style destroys teams from within. We're only a few weeks away from seeing the players fighting each other because by then all remaining team spirit will have been destroyed by Davey.
