Was a pi$$ poor appointment, did nowt wy Oldham except bore their fans to death anall Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Correct. And instead of continuing giving time to the wrong man, its time to rectify that bollock. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm not advocating sacking him yet. I don't think... ask me tomorrow when I've calmed down. Actually, I'll have calmed down later tonight after a few beers, but I guess by then my judgement may be a little shaky....
Nope John you're right he is ***** too many coaching manuals not enough passion. Terrible appointment I thought so at the time and nowts changed.
What really worries me, is that he's got Wilson's best players, fully fit, and some quality additions on top, yet we're arguably worse than we were under Wilson. What's the excuse for that?
Wilson was dog **** aswell over 1000 games in management some massive budgets and two promotions one with us in 1997 and hartlepool. Made a living off our promotion ever scince. But Lee Jay is starting to worry me now
When you look back at the obstacles that Wilson faced, i gotta ask, would we have been in this position with Wilson? I am certain that we would have been in a much better position right now and that we dropped an almighty bollock when we dumped him. I thought so then and i think so now.
Thats because LJ expects everybody to adapt to his formation and style of play regardless of whether it actually suits the players. I've always believed a good manager should adapt his system to get the best out of what he has available rather than expect them to adapt to you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
There is no excuse. We have a fully fit squad and some quality players at league 1 level but are poor to watch over coached and losing to awful teams. Sacking Wilson was only the right decision if you had someone with a better record ready to step up we didn't. Over the last 6 months we have gone backwards we would have been better sticking with Burton and Hecky at least we would have seen some pride and passion.
We need someone like Ritchie, although im not saying get him, in charge who's gunna get the players playing and actually going out to have a go at teams, letting them worry about what we can do to them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The excuse is that we play on the wrong day, on another day we would have beat Donny and Crewe and be well up the table.
He must have blagged it really well at his interview because he was doing nothing at Oldham to get a chance at a bigger club in us. Got to stick with him now because he's still a better option than the likes of Darren Ferguson, Lee Clark, Paul Dickov and Stuart Gray.
You really think Lj is a better manager than Stuart Gray ? Really ? How ? Did a great job at Hillsbro (in my opinion obviously)
Lee Clark the guy who went 49 games unbeaten at this level playing attacking football and was sacked while 4th? Or Darren Ferguson who has been promoted a few times at this level playing attacking football? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
