Just got to wondering what would happen if it wasn't there?

I reckon a few folks (me included) would feel a bit bereft without it.

Don't worry, this is just speculative, nothing is happening to my knowledge.

Just wondered if folks have ever contemplated life without the BBS?

How many times per day do you log on or check the site?

I might venture outside after sitting in front of my computer for 15 years.

Started in 1998 and have been a member through all incarnations. read the site several times a day but only log on if I have summat to say. If it all gets silly I tend to ignore and go for weeks without posting.

Met a few folk who I count as friends, fallen out with a couple too and that makes me sad. Did a walk and a couple of social meets.

I spend most of my working life on the internet, so FB, Twitter and BBS give me a welcome outlet.

It's all good, I'd miss it if it wasn't here.

well I'd definitely miss it, particularly as I can't get to as many games these days, its a great way to keep in touch with what's happening ( both on this planet and on parallel universes sometimes :D )

I'm an occasional user. It's certainly not a problem. I could handle it if it wasn't available. Honest.

Been a member in all incarnations since about 2000. It's one of the few sites I check most days but unlike some I don't feel the need to post my every thought or opinion. Seen quite a bit of drama on here (and previous sites), read countless pages of bullsh1t, and felt tempted at least 6 times a day to correct other people's grammar, I've ruffled a few feathers a couple of times but I lurk more than I actively take part.

If it wasn't here I'd soon get used to it, it's happended before on another site I used to contribute to.

Been a member for 10 and half years I think now. I still log in regularly but it gets on my tits reading the *****. I prefer twitter these days (except when I got slated for saying Scowen hit a lad at Scunny).

Id miss it if it werent here but life would go on and no doubt somethig else would pop up.

I was on the other side. I found it great that he'd supposedly shown some passion, and I think his dad is mental, as is his mate on twitter, they don't hold owt back.

I proper have to bite my tongue when Jacob plays, as do his family. It's for the best to say as little as possible. But Dave Scowen dunt give a ****.

Log on just about every day (connection permitting) and have done since I first joined in about 2005.

I've made some very good friends on here, including what I call a "lifetime person".

I used to post all the time, but hardly ever do these days as I've got better things to do than argue with people on here. My pet hate is people who behave like complete trolls on here, only to then claim they are "decent people" in real life. If you're a decent person, why not be decent on here?

And once you've told me you think the manager should be sacked, don't tell me again 10 minutes later. I heard you the first time.

Too much. I am retired and aside from gardening, music and walking, BFC is my greatest hobby. I have watched them for 50 years.

I read more than I post, but recent shenanigans came close to destroying any enjoyment I got from that activity. I value the work of those who have nothing better to do than search the net looking for scraps of BFC info, which they are willing to share on a forum, even the bits that are clearly made up by some journo. Unfortunately, most of the quality humour has moved to twitter, and that is a great shame, but I understand why.

I do not post much, but when I do so, I like to think my reasoning through. I explain in detail the logic that I have used so that anyone who wants to debate with me can do so. Unfortunately, I find that many posters do not like my style. As a result, most people would rather question my motives rather than challenge my ideas, which is a great source of regret to me.

I do not smoke and I do not drink alcohol, which limits my socialising opportunities, so I have not made any friends from the BBS.
