</p> Irecckon the Allistair Simm one followed by the Albert Finney one.</p> By the way USA, I'd like to say nice try but our dog could do better than George C chuffin Scott. </p>
"I would describe it as history." </p> "History? There were only 42 people at the gig."</p> "How many people were at the last supper?"</p> Ooh! hold on, we're 10 minutes in and that's two gigs I was at. This film's ace/brill/mint/cool etc.</p>
Now thas done it.... Sir Arthur will mop up the floor wi' thee....G.C. Scott is his fav version (givinfinger)
It's on C5 on Christmas Eve afternoon - the Alistair Sim version - I'll be watching that before going out, and later there's the Patrick Stewart version on C4. Not quite up to last year when I think there were 4 different versions on.
RE: Excellent! nt Scrooged (Bill Murray) is on Sky movies tonight as well - that's got to be the worst version.
Definitely has to be..... ... the Alistair Sim version, despite one or two now cringeworthy moments, due to the passage of time.</p> I think the C5 versionis the coloured in print, which I bought on video about 15 years ago. Still watch it EVERY Christmas, usually about now, to get me in the mood.</p>
RE: Definitely has to be..... "Coloured-in" version. That just seems wrong. Probably created for people like my mum, who, after we'd got our first colour telly, used to complain about black and white films on because "we don't pay a colour tv licence to watch things in black and white!"
We've got the Alistair Simm's version on video (black & white) and DVD (colourised), I love watching it/them. It epitomises Christmas for me.
more like Kevin Costner as Robin Hood or Russell Crowe as an American cowboy, Bob Hoskins as a New York detective.....it's a small world handsome, we're becoming interchangable like car parts used to be LMAO!!
George C Scott for me.... And I'll be round later to see the dogs performance of a Charles Dickens classic... can't wait Could I make a cameo as Tiny Tim ????
