Just overheard a Leeds fan at work

It's all the fault of Man Utd apparently!

He reckoned that, when Man Utd went to Brazil to play in the World Club Championship in 2000, Leeds were due to play them at that time in the league. So had Man Utd not gone and Leeds had played them, Woodgate and Bowyer wouldn't have been out on the town and got involved in the incident that saw them arrested, and the result of that was the team got broken up and the decline started!

    Brilliant! :D

Thank god they're not Sheffield United...

Otherwise they would have taken Man United to court over it, and most probably Woodgate and Bowyer too.

The incident was on Tuesday 11 January

Leeds were due to play manchester united on the following sunday 16 January. My guess is that they would have still been out 5 days before a match.
