We had a call from a very distressed man to say that his cat had wandered in from outside in a very dishevelled state and couldn't walk properly. He presumed it had been in a car accident. All the stops were pulled, the nurses had all the necessary surgical equipment at the ready and the clients in the waiting room were fore-warned that there would be a delay as an emergency case was coming in. The client rushed straight into the vets consultation room where the vet diagnosed that the reason it couldn't walk was because it's paw was stuck inside its collar. The vet released the paw and hey presto one happy cat and one extremely embarassed man! Classic.
