    3 points for Southend will guarantee their promotion.</p>

    They will have as much purpose as us - just like Oldham had today.</p>

    Today we shone, in the words of the Radio Sheff commentator we were &quot;dazzling&quot;.</p>

    Let's hope we're peaking at the right time. A result against a confidence diminished Southend could just take us that decisive step nearer.</p>
