Some of them aren't happy. #Bell-ends . http://www.s24su.com/forum/index.php?threads/barnsleys-ben-mansford.45359/
Funny after Ben Mansford now. They'll be in bother tomorrow anyway trew a coin which hit fleetwood keeper on head. Can't wait to beat em at bramall lane. AGAIN
They're obsessed with us. At least one of them has finally admitted what the rest of them refuse to see, we're a better run club with more ambition and promise. The same was true 3 months ago when we were propping up the league. It's okay talking about promotion, and being in the championship or premiership, but if they're not really doing anything about it other than sacking the manager every 6 months, and giving journeymen their final pay - day, then that's all it will be is talk. I heard Andy Giddings say that the referee had apparently told the goalkeeper it was his fault. I don't know if it's true but he needs to be asked to explain him comments if it is.
Just watched the fl show on 5 Stephen presley said other players witnessed this and the appropriate people will be informed
He should be before the FA. To blame a player for the actions of a moron in the stands is unacceptable.
Whilst the referee should explain hi comments if this is true, I don't understand why people come down on refs so hard when they make a comment, despite the fact that they must get hundreds of derogatory comments about them each week from managers and players. The managers generally get punished for it, but the players rarely do. I remember an incident last season I think it was, where a referee (maybe Mark Clattenburgh?) allegedly told Adam Lallana during an altercation, that he'd changed since playing for England. A big thing was made of it, despite there being little proof that it had actually happened other than from Lallana himself. I think the point I'm trying to make is that referees should be excused for losing their cool on occasion considering some of the abuse they receive. Sent from my I-Oven using the internets
I don't have an issue with a referee giving it back to managers and players but blaming a player for an act of mindless stupidity by a fan is out of order. Only one person can ever be to blame for throwing a coin.
Aye, that is true. To be fair I think I chose the wrong scenario to try prove a point. Wouldn't expect any less from dem blades fans though. Sent from my I-Oven using the internets
The Blades are a shambles. They get roughly twice what we get through the gates & roughly four times what Burton get through the gates yet they're running at a loss of £8m a year o finish mid table in the third tier. Wilson, Clough & Adkins have all proven to be good managers yet have all been / going to be sacked by them. I'd suggest the problems go far beyond the managers.
They were carrying on week before at rochdale too they don't like been ****. Saying that a seat was thrown from our end today and landed on pitch when a walsall player was down injured only bad point of today.
Think he's got us there. He must know all about having an inferiority complex having lived in the shadow of Wednesday for so long.
Barnsley are a shambles of a football club, 5 million in debt and administratively chaotic, believe me, their sudden recent upturn on the pitch is in no way a reflection of Ben Mansfords stewardship News to me that one
I like this bit... I went to uni with Ben, he was captain of the football team in my first two years there. One thing that struck me was that he was a leader & understood the game as well, even at this young age.
Unusually balanced set of views on there. The usual ill-informed, myopic ***** from a few inbreds, but some fair stuff too. Couldn't care less about them, tbh - I've still got their 'we'll never play you again' chants echoing round my head. They might be right!!
