By the sounds of it who ever the club appoint there is going to be people who disagree and people who aren't going to renew. It's just a lose lose situation.
if they get a few results people will get behind the new man... easier said than done (not Done) though
We all have a preference but that doesn't mean we won't get behind the new manager. We don't really know who is on the shortlist and your own personal choice may not be. There are just some name like Flitcroft and Blackwell being banded about which a large majority on here wouldn't want. As JP has said, "the way to get fans behind the new manager is to start winning games".
flitcroft is/was hills man so i would imagine basically the same mould. blackwell =****, total and utter
i'm afraid many fans are now just disenfranchised beyond repair, and have made the decision not to renew. i don't think any decision will keep these people. their prerogative, and perfectly understandable. it's down to the club to turn that round. fan loyalty should be earned, not expected.
the board/club have got the rest of the season to persuade me to renew, if they're putting the effort in then i will, but if they carry on in what i call "the council mode" (like well its a safe seat we can do what we want these mongs will vote us in no matter what) then this jedi's credits will get spent at athersley/brig/frickley
Yep, I wouldn't personally want either of them. But Blackwell would put some aggression into our game.
Of course they will, only human nature and everyone has an opinion. 40% want Sean O'Driscoll making him the clear favourite of those voting by a mile. it still means 60% would prefer someone else. A better gauge would be to ask for your 1,2,3 preferences. Appointment by proportional representation, anyone???
It would be interesting to get a list of everyone who was a season ticket holder from say 97/98 and find out the different reasons people have stopped going
