Danny Wilson had lost the dressing room, don't know why, but, in my opinion he had lost it. With player power being what it is what do the board do? Wait until we lose at Crawley and at S****horpe and at home to Crewe? Surely lacklustre performances in those games will result in no wins and will grant the players their wish, or would it? Would the players need to under perform in more games? In the end player power rules supreme so the Board have acted now to mitigate the risk of back to back relegations. Obviously this is just my opinion because who knows what has been going on behind the scenes, oh, hang on a minute the Board do don't they! I think the decision was genuinely for the good of BFC, whether it was a good decision is yet to be seen COYR
That Fleetwood game said to me that the players and-or Danny were totally lost. Now whether the players believed in Danny or not, I don't know. But the side looked to be devoid of any clear plan or direction. I fully believe that we would have stumbled through the next three massively winnable fixtures and perhaps got a win and a draw, maybe two draws, probably a defeat thrown in. In other words, not the desired return. I think the correct decision has been made, even if it flies in the face of the rhetoic of long term building. Honestly feel Wilson had lost his way and the players were similarly lacking direction.
