Really looking tight down there now Birmingham and forest really in trouble and bristol not out of it yet. Would love either of those 3 to drop with rotherham and wigan hope blackburn and Burton can survive as I think they will also struggle next season. Could go right to the final game just glad were not in there been there too many times we can just sit back and watch for once.
Think Wigan are gone. (Hopefully). But Blackburn may sneak out. I'm hoping they don't as would love us to offer Mahoney champ football next year if they can't. Hopefully that would seal the deal. Brownhill next to Moncur in the centre next season would be a decent partnership too. Starting midfield of... Hamill, Brownhill, Moncur, Mahoney?
Apparently so most of our regulars are on as much or more I believe. So why not and if bristol don't go down I think they will spend big again and he will even further down the pecking order which means we can offer him 1st team football.
What I don't understand is if Brownhill is only on 4k at Bristol, why was he drawn there in the first place and why couldn't we compete?
We had just come up through the play offs they were spending big maybe thought he would be in a relegation scapegoat with us we were favourites for it.
I think as a club we often advertise ourselves as a stepping stone to the prem and it has worked with players such a mawson and fletcher and if you believe villa will go up next season hourihane too. But we should also be using regular first team football to attract players at bigger clubs to potentially take a step back e.g. brownhill! The only problem is there will be other teams in the league that can offer him that and extra pennies!
I hope not. I wouldn't mind Blackburn surviving and seeing either Bristol City or Birmingham going down.
