Tried buying my tickets for Bristol City today. Whoever developed that telephone system that the club uses wants shooting. It's crap! I lost count of how many times I was told to hold for further options to find myself either a) handed back to the reception or b) cut off completely! In addition, I can't think of anything more frustrating than being told 'Your queue position is number 2' and then several minutes later bloody cut off again!

On a positive note. Praise needs to go to 'Lorna' who took my details after listening to me whinge about how bad the telephone system was. Well handled, lass.

why do they say.... calls are charged at 10p per min to improve service to our fans last time I checked charging for a service that used to be free is not an improvement
Funnily enough, I was thinking that missen Personally, I didn't see anything wrong with how I used to do it. I wonder if it's cost the club in ticket sales due to folk, like me, having limited times when they can ring the club and they've got fed up in the end and given up!
It Shouldn't Be Ten Pence To Phone Them "Yes I would like to give you some business, but thank you for charging me for the privilage".
Its been like this for well over a year now......... Cazi, I've always had exactly the same experience as you with the box office. When I've finally got thru, I've explained the problems with the system to those on the other end of the phone, to be told "well it's cos we're so busy at the moment" (N). How the hell they cope at Old Trafford **** knows. I live 120 miles away so popping down Oakwell isn't an option. I have now given up with box office and get me Dad (in Royston) to go in and get them and then he posts them on. They simply are not interested in customer service.............and people wonder why we don't attract a bigger following, well making it as difficult as possible to give the club money aint a good start (furious)
In normal circumstances it would make me feel better to know I'm not on my own However, hearing that others have had the same experience is disappointing. You can excuse a once in a bluemoon situation, but not a common occurrence
RE: In normal circumstances it would make me feel better to know I'm not on my own Last time I complained about the box office on this message board I got a bolloking the next day when my mum went to pick what ever it was up. Cos I was posting on 'Wellsie' and when my mam went in, they saw the name and started telling my mother I was swearing on here about the box office, the job lot. I did complain but I dint swear at all lol. Anyway enough complaining or else I'll get my wrists slapped again next time a go in. And they are after all, bloody useless (doh)
In fairness, when I actually managed to speak to someone, she was very polite and I felt sorry for her. My complaint isn't with the staff, it's with the system that can't put you through to them!
I'm not going to pull any punches, the box office phone system is crap!!! At Hull when you ring you get a recorded message to start with saying what tickets are on sale/any certain message's (as this box office does Hull FC rugby as well) and then you are passed through to someone, normally get through without having to wait, you never wait long at all if ever! I normally end up ringing Barnsley main switch and get put through from them as I get sick of waiting/cut off!
tried that.......... I either get told all lines are busy and could I ring back at a less busy time (chinny), or I get transferred and cut off, or I get put thru....................to the auto box office line (doh) . So Ticket Office Manager Sharon Hardware..........sort it, please?
