First 10 mins we played good attacking football, then they battered us for about 20 mins and we were just waiting for the goal to come... all their attacks were down our left - Kozzi was having a mare.
If Hulse had put that sitter in for the second it could have been a different game - but thats football. We scored a wonder goal, took charge and the second goal was harking back to the slick one touch football on the wilson years.
Coulace had an off day but the lads battled well - got a few lucky breaks but all in all deserved the win.... just.

well done boys good battling performance..... onward and upwards

... oh it was nice to see the manager and his coaches look as though they were actually assessing the game and making slight changes as the game progressed - refreshing.

about 1200 fans there... bit quiet in the first half but came to life after the goals.

and after the final whistle in was good to see the players celebrate like they really wanted as much as we did

    Thanks

Colace sounded OK from the commentary but sounded as though the defence is still too leaky

Oh and 748 away fans officially

    RE: Thanks

    ...it sounded like more(ish)

Colace had an off day.... definatly - but i'd be interested what others thought.

Defence was dodgy at times and we got the run of the green with ball in our box... when Hulse was on they won everything in the air - Foster needs to step his game up a little... but they all battled hard and its hard to crititise when we win.

The Ref was good and cant understand why the derby fans were having a huge moan about him... he didnt even give a foul when the icelandic beast got taken out from behind.... apart from that he was pretty fair.

I was very happy when they took Hulse off cause he was causing us all sorts of probelms in the air.

Had some good banter with the derby fans walking back to the car........ !!!!!!!

I thought colace looked good, missed him on saturday

but apart from that i agree with you entirely. Hope Iceman's injury aint serious cos he had a good game tonight too setting up the first two goals. Hammill's has a belter wasn't it.

:D yeah made my day that did. Really don't like that bloke, he's was a right dirty barsteward, and Commons and Hulse were after penalties all match, they should have been booked for diving too.

Talking to a derby fan later and he said it 'could have been construde as an elbow'!!!! on foster at the start of the second half... long delay + the iceman's injury = 8 mins (ish)
