You know why? Because in those matches we put in a solid defensive display and made ourselves hard to break down. Yesterday we gave away 3 very very soft goals through shocking marking and poor goalkeeping. On another day Davies would of got his body behind the ball and comfortably parried the first one away, someone would of marked that Vincenti properly or Davies would of come out and gathered the ball and we wouldn't have been cut open so easily for the 3rd. My point is we wouldn't usually concede goals of this nature and be such pushovers at the back. Although I think Dale are a decent team if we had defended like that against Burton, Bradford or anyone in this league we would of been punished.

Can I also point out that at Chesterfield and Rochdale we didn't have Scowen in the middle of the park. We all know what a huge difference he can make.

Davies couldn't get anywhere the first one and if he had done the ball was hit so hard it would have taken him with it. He was very poor in his attempts to stop the 2nd one.
