Gideon sums up the reason why I despise the T party. Promises to raise the tax allowance to £11,000 so we will all be a tenner a month better off, and at the same time says the austerity cuts have to bite deeper than ever and plans to reduce public spending by a further £30bn by 2017/18.

Here's an idea Gideon - don't try to fool people into thinking they are better of under your monstrosity of a government when £10 a month doesn't make a blind bit of difference to anyone. Instead of giving me an extra £120 a year - give it to Barnsley health services or BMBC or anywhere else it might do a bit of good. Whatever you do, don't think I will ever believe that I am better off under the T. I just hope a large enough proportion of the voting public agree with me and you and Call Me Dave will be out. Five years is more than enough.

Where's the viable alternative though? Labour under Ed Milliband isn't it. I don't want someone leading this country who's first response to the oppositions speech is name calling and insults.

I don't disagree with your thoughts on the cuts to our services that we are already taxed to death to receive.

I've got no soft spot for either of the main parties, but to be fair Osborne's speech was littered with childish name calling and insults towards Miliband. That seems to be about the level of debate in the House of Commons.

I think there's a fair difference. Admittedly I didn't see all of Osbourne's speech, but finger pointing, pointless shouting whilst name calling with no foundation doesn't strike me as being his style. If I'm wrong I'm sorry.

I did see some intellectual jibes that were well aimed if you understood the context. Miliband's response to the 'the two kitchens' one was priceless and pretty much sums up his term as leader of the opposition.

Seems a shame that both Parties descend to abuse and name calling it's daft to think either is better than the other on this score. The Tories however bully and name call the British public calling the disabled,Scroungers and victimising them leading to an increase in violent attacks and a decrease in sympathy. That's the difference. And I say that as someone who wont vote for either.

You clearly never heard the PMQ`s while the Tories were in opposition ! they took the whole thing to a higher level, they still do now, Cameron never answers any question, he just calls names and deflects anything that does not come from his own side.

I've never voted for David Cameron, or the Tories for that matter.

I've always held the view that they are all as bad as each other and pick through the mess during election time to find out 1.What's best for me and my family and 2. What's best for the 'big society'.

I'm so far away from labour this time that my original statement 'may' change.

I think BMBC waste quite enough of my money without giving them clowns another £120.

no thanks.....but please give it to something worthwhile by all means

Yeah that it, slag off the Tories. I mean they were the ones that dragged the bleedin' country back from the brink of disaster that the labour party created.
My mates down at the Loftus were all looking forward to another 5 great years with Dave. Top bloke an no mistake.
