was a quid, but it had Nicky Wroe down as a Barnsley player. At least they bothered to make a programme though, unlike Morecambe.

    Hi
I am the programme editor at Buxton and we always try to do a programme for the pre-season matches. The problem with the prog last night was despite me ringing Barnsley FC on numerous occasions for information, the club sent me nothing. When we played Barnsley 2 season ago I had uptodate info sent but this wasn't the case this time round. To be honest this was quite disapointing when the club employs a full time programme editor.
I ended up using the info from the Barnsley FC Wikipedia site, which isn't always the best thing to do but there you go.
Good luck for the season. I was quite surprised a full first team squad was sent last night, it was better than the usual bunch of kids that league sides tend to send.

    Mike..........

at least you produced a programme. Morecambe are a league club and could only do a team sheet. You should have used the official site for your information, but that's gone now. I was really impressed with what I saw last night. Can see why you had so many promotions in recent years. Your team looked up for it and played football the right way. The bogs, catering and general atmosphere was all good. You can be proud of yourself (Y) (Y) (Y)

    Are your pie & peas

still as delicious, fresh generously portioned and reasonably priced?

Best football food I've ever eaten.

I was sat behind Paddy Cryne 2 seasons ago, he necked his at some speed & Andy Ritchie had 2 portions

Morecambe have decided to only produce team sheets for

the freindly games as they are working on a bumper special edition programme to commemorate their first league game, to be fair the team sheets are only 20p

Will the programmes be easy enough to get hold of? Be nice to get hold of a copy because of the significance of it.

Maybe you should have a look on EBay after the first game of the season.

    RE: Mike..........

    Thanks for the comments
One of your ex-players, Nicky Law, has been our manager till last May and he did a superb job in bringing on some great young players. Despite him leaving the vast majority of the players have decided to stop with us and not migrate with him to Alfreton.
Buxton were the best supported side in the Unibond 1st division last season and some of the cash generated has been pumped back into redeveloping the social club and toilets etc.
    :)
