It won't happen, but it would be funny if he was left at home for the World Cup.

    prediction

mr rooney gets depression, becomes babba and gets moved on from manure - who are also doing babba.

Nothing has any value any more when you get paid that much. Anything that you don't have to work for or comes so easily quickly looses its value.

    Creator of his own demise.

Just a shame everything else around their little bubble is struggling so much. Maybe footballers' bank accounts is where all the countries money is going while the rest live in austerity.

I can't stand Wayne Rooney. I don't like him as a person or rate him as a footballer. He shouldn't have gone to the Euro's when he was suspended for the first couple of games.

It is entirely down to jealously that I feel like this. He is good at kicking a ball, I am good with computers and use my skills to keep major businesses running. I am in the top echelon of my profession, just like he is in his.

His new contract means that he earns more in a week than I earn in about 7-8 years. By the end of this month he will have earnt more money than I will in my entire working life.

How do the players around him make him unable to control a football? Or shoot straight? Or pass to a team mate? Overrated rubbish.

It's a decent record, nowt special. He's **** when it comes to the finals tournaments. His performances in the last 3 or 4 have been embarrassing. Highest paid player in the world, absolutely nowhere near being the best. We don't need him.

38 goals? Half of them against the likes of San Marino/Liechtenstein.

NONE in the last 2 World Cups.

    I'm not convinced.

Only one tournament goal in his career. Anyway, I don't think anyone cares how good he is, they just can't stand the sight of him. He's as welcome as John Terry, who is still the best English defender.

    WTF

He's scored goals against Brazil including a goal in Brazil. In Russia in Holland to go with goals against Agentina along with a few goals against Croatia and poland and Ukraine thats never easy especially away from home.

Lewandowski, 18 goals in 60 games
    Benzema, 18/64
    Balotelli 12/29
    Torress 36/106

All top level footballers but they haven't got better records infact some will have worse records and they aren't in a team with two midfielders that have 50 international goals between them and he doesn't get every chance for the team will some.

Wages are irrelevant when deciding who should play for England.

He may not be the best in the world but he's the best English striker and arguably best English player. Who do you suggest we should play instead? Do you actually think its in the best interest for England not to take Wayne Rooney to the world cup? or do you just not like his character(that I can understand)

People get angry at the England team because they're not all world class. Well they're the best option we have. People say they're over rated...who is actually rating this England team? We're not going to win it so why not get behind them, enjoy the world cup and hopefully they'll surprise us.

Seems people just enjoy moaning and negativity.
