Thought that JCR played for it, I'd have been livid if we'd had one like that given against us, sometimes they get given and sometimes they don't, and body language tells a lot - JCR just went, absolutely no complaint from him.
True but if he had gone down on the initial contact instead of a second or two later it would have been a stonewall pen, that i'm sure.
Eh? Of course he played for it, and their defender stuck a leg in missed the ball and took away JCR's right leg. Just because someone sets a trap for a defender and they fall for it doesn't make it any less a penalty. I'd have been livid with our defender not the ref if we had had that given and I'd been a Bristol fan. As for JCR's body language - I'd say that was just good discipline - we have been complaining about out players getting cards for dissent - had JCR said something it would probably just have made things worse.
RE: Eh? Just didn't appear to be the cast-iron, nailed on, stonewall penalty that people were saying it was. And JCR - yes fair enough good discipline to walk away but, no look at the ref, no outstretched arms, nothing at all - theres a difference between ranting and raving and just some slight body language that suggests he feels hard done by.
