    Yes........worried !!!!

we have had mixed messages from the club
Some of the reports have even been damaging to the club
i.e. the missed missed missed.......etc etc etc
Also the signed, not signed, signed...........etc etc etc
We have an owner saying we are looking to bring bums on seats players in
We have a manager who is saying I'm sticking with what I've got

Now if this manager thinks that the players we have got are good enough for the Championship then I and others think he is wrong
I hope (really hope) he is right, but on the evidence of last season some of them (e.g. forwards) were not good enough in that league never mind this one

So, we need a clear unambiguous statement from the club of their stratergy
For example, if they came out and said - we are going to try the present squad out for the first month to six weeks and see how it goes then if need be strengthen
I don't think anybody would argue with that
    BUT THEY HAVEN'T

Id be alright with it, but weve recieved an un-budgeted £1 million.
As soon as Birmingham had recieved Pennants money, bang, "Birmingham bid for 8 players". Yeah weve signed Mcindoe for a couple of hundred 1000, excellent signing, we all know that, but we havent got a number 9 and what if Colgan gets injured? what if Howard/Togwell get injured?

I think the club are playing a wise game. They have made a couple of decent signings so far but not spent much money. If the right player becomes available I think we'll be in. Also players from Prem clubs will become available for loan in the next 2-3 months (like Chopra did)so we can strengthen that way.
Remember in the Prem season we'd already wasted a large chunk of our money on Hristov and Tinkler before the season started and by the time we'd brought in Ward and Fjortoft there was nothing left and we went down. If we'd had some money left to strengthen central midfield we may just have escaped the drop.

    What if...

Young Nudger kept his Private Frazer impression under wraps once in a while.

Either you are a first class wind up merchant or the kind of man who watches Ingmar Bermann movies to cheer himself up.

We haven't kicked a ball in anger yet but you have been a prophet of doom probably since you got back on the bus from Cardiff.

Lets face it I thought we would be starting this season in league 1, but we aren't.

I don't know whats going on behind the scenes at Oakwell as much as the next fool who posts wild transfer speculation. Just let Richie and Shepherd get on with the job they have done better than expected so far.

Time will tell whether inaction is wise or not

    I suspect not.

    Panic buying in January.

Chill out everyone, fuk me,you'll have heart attack some of you lot

I'm happy with the first team signings we have made so far, both look class, and at the very least championship standard.

Ritchie is very shrewd in the transfer market,he proved it last term and is proving it again,i admit would loved to have seen a proven striker with experience come in,but they aren't freely available are they??

Look at Horsfield, gone to Leeds on loan with view to a permanent move, fee possible owt like 600k to a 1m, wages according to a Blade at work owt like 8k a week.WE HAVEN'T GOT THOSE RESOURCES stay in this div for a year or two and we will have.

Would you rather Ritchie rush out and just sign anyone, blow a portion of the Flinders money just so a few impatients can be satisfied we have got a new striker? NO should be the answer.Like one of the lads above has said, give it 3 or 4wks and prem clubs will be looking to release talent for loan.

Disco wern't picked up till end of August and he proved to be a good signing did he not

Have faith in Hayesy,Ricco,Coulson and McIndoe to deliver in first few weeks.Honestly i believe we can compete with the squad we have, its only going to get strengthend as season goes on

Healy in next week and we are looking alright in midfield and defence

Can't wait for Saturday, get you positive heads on,im counting hours down

    Cooooooooooooooome on

Who mentioned owt about being valid?? Surprised this club has survived so long with this negativity

    No they don't

If they come out in public with their transfer targets, fees, etc. then everyone else will know what kind of money we're working with and will try and get the best price from us close to our budget.

I'd rather they kept their cards close to their chest. Not concerned in the slightest about this season, it may be a struggle, but we won't go back down. You can quote me on that in May.

    RE: No they don't

I'm in business, last year we bought another firm. We didn't tell anyone until the deal was done, we didn't want to alert predators, alarm their staff etc. Why should GS pander to the bleating of some people on an internet board who haven't got a clue what's really going on.

    I'll gi thi a clue

    Striker.

There, see I have a clue.

What worries people is that it seems that its the club that dont have a clue either in PR or signing players

    Missed
    missed
    missed
    box office
    chopra
    shuker
    signed not signed
need a keeper / dont need a keeper
    need a striker / not a priority
Signs tomorrow / signs next week???
