At Celtic, with your ST you get discount in the clubshop, and everytime you use it you get like club points which tally up at the end of the season to give you a discount on your renewal of the ST. What do we get at Barnsley? (dunno)
i have been saying this for years they dont give a **** down there! And they wonder why the fans stay away!
Jaysus, whats wrong with everybody. It's called supporting your team not your team spoon feeding you to go and watch them. Funny, everbody suddenly got off their arses when we got to the Prem. No carrots dangles, no gimmicky incentives etc. Get the product right on the pitch and the fans will watch. At the minute a lot remain unconvinced and whilst I watch the Reds come rain or shine, I can sort of understand them given the cost of footy, alternative leisure attractions etc. Steady progress will not capture more fans but it's just possible that some will suddenly wake up and smell the coffee if we are in with a chance of the play offs with half a dozen games left. I bet Scunny and Colchester fans are not constantly berating themselves over lack of support - despite getting half our crowds and being roughly the size of Barnsley as towns.

Think there have been other threads and pre Christmas speech from Gordon Shepherd explaining how the Club hasn't gained from reduced ticket prices.
Although the entertainment levels have been great, we're really suffering through not showing any strikers with "box office signing" strength ... so far. If everyone was let in free one match to see Macken and Mostto light up Oakwell, then it'd all be sorted (dancin)

Irrespective of incentives on the pitch (which is unquestionably the most important lure) there should be nothing to stop forward thinking business and incentives anyway. However, IMHO, the club is still run like it’s 1981 and from top to bottom fits unfortunately into stereotype. From general club presentation to the pies at half time and beyond it’s generally second rate and/or a cobble job. If a real business man was brought in he’d turn the place upside down starting with proper PR…after he stopped laughing that is.
Agreed....but
....i can't help thinking GS is still occupied with hitting the ground running as a football chairman. I think we could do with modernisation in every department but maybe that will come with time. I was the worst critic of what I deemed to be corner shop mentality but we've already improved things in the most important department and i didn't see that coming.
