No telephone/internet booking system (particularly for those living away from Barnsley) No choice over where you want to sit (barring four price categories)-great choice for the paying customer Expectation that honest working folk are able to take time off work/travel to queue for hours on end A shameful lack of regard for our supporters expecting them to queue up in bitterly cold weather Lack of proper consideration for regular supporters who end up being behind fans of other clubs and so called fans who have never been to a Reds match before when it comes to getting tickets All this i might be able to cope with but to not have ALL turnstiles open to avoid prolonging the agony for us they had 2-3 on for each price band. Were these turnstile operators being paid? Or were they voluntary/free ticket if you do the job for a day? More corners cut? Are those who (run???) the club vindictive money grabbing barstewards? or just plain thick? As a act of goodwill id like Shepherd and Rowing to stand in a line in the inclement weather tommorow for several hours like the rest of us and see how much fun that is? Any takers gentlemen? No i dont suppose you fancy that! The club is blatantly taking fans for granted knowing full well we have to accept it. Like it or lump it thats the choice. Sad thing is for events like this there will always be enough people willing to do what is asked for them to take advantage again and again. While doing so they alienate or abuse those who have seen the club through thick and thin. All i can say to the powers that be is pull yer bloody finger out and start looking after those who keep the club alive and stop making us look like a joke pretending to be a professional football club run like a corner shop rant over
sorry but I don't understand your reply. If you are suggesting that change takes time then I'd agree, but the club does seem to have a genuine disregard for the fans.</p>
well they'v done alot to build the people of barnsley back up a little at the minute so its a start. Wembley semi -final and lets slag the club for not bringing tickets to our doorstep
Are you sure ! To be fair they have taken over a club with no money, turn it around. We have some good players and were going to Wembley after being to play off finals I'd take all that, then buy a new system for tickets with money we make. Sometimes were too quick to knock them, and not look at were we are.
RE: hold on given 4 days notice, never mind telling everyone how important it was, I took a days hol and arranged for child care.
RE: Are you sure ! I don't think that the system is unable to handle it. Who would build a box office system that doesn't allow you to sell tickets? I'd love to know what package they use.
ok regarding the ticket system why would the club pay money to get such a system and maybe only use it twice a season? Lets be honets if we did'nt have the cup success we would'nt be on here even talking about it. I'v got an idea lets bycott the FA cup next year to save all this hassle!
number of turnstiles, no internet booking... ... in spite of patron codes. I'd also be quite happy to pay £5 extra for a ticket master service.
RE: and your employer said ok ? nt didn't give him a choice. And he's a Wednesday fan! If I thought it mightve ba a no, Id have chucked a sickie.
RE: number of turnstiles, no internet booking... ok then why did'nt you make a postal application and pay the five pound? that way you would have been sorted?
They already have a ticket office system. Why is it that it appears to be worse than systems used at 250 seat theatres? And a ticket office system should be used everyday, not just to sell tickets either, it would be one of the most valuable tools the club could possibly have off the field.
I'm not having a go at you personally ...but would you have been prepared to lose a day's pay or lie to your employer about illnesss and risk serious disciplnary action if you were caught ?
