Is surely at a really low point from an external perspective. If they sack Clarke then so be it, IMO nothing much will change. Perhaps they can get then get looking in the local Saturday or Sunday leagues for a new head coach who is willing to put up with this ***** because not many people will. Until there are fundamental changes at the top then the club will continue to go backwards.
We have assembled a massive (must be 30+), unbalanced squad with some absolute ***** in there. Mladen must have thought all of his Christmases had come at once when he got offered this gig, the guy is so far out of his depth it's laughable, get this useless ****** out to start with.

The club is rotten from top to bottom.

I m half arsed anyway now as I hardly go ,I'm not investing in this shower of s#&t

He's not wrong though is he? There's a horrible stench coming out of Oakwell, zero ***** given, incompetence everywhere you look and a playing group who couldn't give a **** in that second half.
On top of that we have Mladen telling us the play offs are still the aim :D

I think a bit of perspective is needed from some , there’s been some bad decision making by those at the top particularly on Manager recruitment but to say there is corruption through the club is way off the mark

Reputation is shot. Not an attractive proposition for anyone.

The main reason to sack Clarke now is for next season, so that for once we can actually start a season with an incumbent manager who knows the squad that he has got and understands his best XI, at least prior to any transfer activity anyway.

Clarke's already blown this season, we have to acknowledge that has gone. The worst thing we can do now is eirher stick with him till the end of the season and then have a new guy have to do the whole standing start thing yet again, or even worse let him blow yet another year in this league.

Plus if you extrapolate our form for the last 6 matches to the end of the season we're not safe yet.

The problem is I don't think Clarke rates or trusts the squad as a whole and the squad doesn't rate or trust him and as the seasons gone on the gap between head coach and players has got wider to the point where both sides are just going through the motions now. I don't think there is any mutual respect left Clarke has started to blame the players in his interviews which rarely helps the situation and usually is a precursor for the Head coach losing his job and in Clarke's case means that he's indirectly blaming his boss the DoF whose solely responsible for the recruitment of these players that the head coach is critical of so that relationship as probably gone bad now too.

Owners are responsible for themselves and everything downwards. They appoint people, who in turn appoint other people, and trust them to make decisions that affect the day to day business of the club.

The football club can be moulded into anything with the right stewardship, and I’m sure any potential owners recognise that, so in that respect I don’t think the current regime have sullied the football clubs reputation. Just their own.

They have regressed the team from playoff final runners up, to scraping into the playoffs, to where we are now, whilst losing a load of money, and not even through frivolity.

I don’t get the hatred towards them, because I don’t think they’re doing anything underhand. I just feel a bit sorry for them because they genuinely seem out of their comfort zone running a club.

I can’t say as I feel sorry for them, they just never seem to learn their lesson as things go from bad to worse. I’ll say it again, why haven’t we appointed a DoF with proper experience in the game? Mladen isn’t fit for purpose, he’s been a disastrous appointment. Clarke will inevitably get the sack at some point but Mladen should be following him. We don’t want that clown overseeing another transfer window or we’ll be staring L2 in the face before too long.

Disagree, but we need to sell the club better to potential signings. We need to get the club connections back up again so the Chopra's, Armstrong's, Barnes, Thomas signings back on line. Loans should be to improve us, not improve other clubs players. We once signed Geddis, May, Futcher, McGuire, David Johnson etc.... who? say some. Top players coming back from injuries and contributed so much.
