... The two flagship policies of the Government and also their underlying objectives transfer wealth from the people to the rich. No-one should envy people who have created wealth and employment but too many high paid execs are paid ridiculous amounts for managing Public services and taxpayers money.
1 Policies that limits wages or creates part time/low or unpaid work for people who then claim 'top-ups' in the form of benefits paid by taxpayers simply transfers wealth to the CEOs Shareholders and Executives of companies. THis has to be paid for originally by a mix of Personal taxation and Corporation tax etc. This Govt cut things like Corporation tax but increase personal taxation suggesting that companies need help to 'create employment'.

2 PFIs and privatisation of Infrastructure/Public services simply introduce an additional cost i.e. 'Profit element' into running public services (borne again by taxpayers). This again transfers money from taxpayers to CEOs Shareholders and Executives. Running a prison for example has NO customers and therefore cannit generate revenue (unless they start using prisoners as slave/low paid workers for another Private company). The 'revenue' has to be, therefore 100% taxpayer generated.

Privatisation is NOT the automatic route to efficiency and cost savings. e.g. Railways/Electricity/Gas.

Pity most of the public/ media are to stupid or apathetic to constantly harangue the Govt on this.

The pubic are stupid, because there kept supid by the very people who are in power...as for the media. TV radio the lot are owned, even down to the locals...Cron Star...by the people in power
But it's no different under labour...they walk to heal aswell

I've always wondered why, as part of the EU, we can't ship our prisoners out to Turkey/Greece/Bulgaria, etc. It must be cheaper to hire a prison over there an ship the long-term inmates out than to incarcerate them in the UK.

We could also then bring prisoners in from overseas and charge for the privilege...

 

It is being in the EU that would prevent that. Human Rights.

The European Convention on Human Rights and the European Court of Human Rights have nothing at all to do with the European Union. They are linked to the separate Counil of Europe, founded significantly earlier and of which we would still be a member if we left the EU.
