Onto its 8th manager in just over ten years. #footballisntaccountancy #letshopebenandmoarebetteratpickingmanagersthanpat
The board are either: a) dreadful at recruitment b) aren't creating the conditions and environment for a manager to be successful c) have unrealistic expectations as to what a manager can achieve given the limitations they work under. Whichever of the above you believe to be true is likely to dictate how you judge our managers. Regardless of that at least most fans will probably have more faith in the current incumbents to avoid the ombishambles that the previous lot presided over last time we sacked our manager
Davey aside I would struggle to argue with the appointments. Or at least the rationale behind them. But last time the process was a joke.
Most teams will have had at least 5 managers in the last ten years, not that far away from the norm. For instance, Blackpool have had 7 managers in that time, Blackburn have had 8, Chelsea (the most successful British club in terms of trophies) have had 7 managers
