The Cutting Edge.... had many a drunken evening in there down the years (Y) back in the 80's it used to get 'choca' when the last bus to Worsbrough saw dozend piling off for a "last drink" before the 11pm watershed.

I was a taproom regular for 20 yrs, never found another...... pub like it for atmosphere and camaraderie, I miss it every weekend, it's a shame it's been allowed to slip to a shithole it is now.
RE: Have you been to the Ship since the 'do up' ? n/t Yes, I have Dave, it's ok, we do the rounds friday nights, set off in the Ship, then on to the Button Mill, Dale club, Greyhound and finish off at the Darley.
RE: Have you been to the Ship since the 'do up' ? n/t last time I went to the ship was about five years ago. I took my bro in law who's from darn sarf and is a palace fan. We went to watch man U v arsenal. After five mins in there we supped up and went up to the edge to watch the rest of the game. To say it was a little intimidating is a slight understatement. Bro in law has done the rounds in some rough London pubs, but he said he was glad to get out of it.
Having said that I had a quick walk in a week after it reopened, just popped my head around the door and it did look nice.
BTW it's chuffin Red Lion mate !!!!
