To think some people actually form their opinion from this rag!

Read an article earlier whilst waiting in the Chinese takeaway.

Apparently if you wish (or a company wishes) to fly the EU flag then you have to apply for planning permission from the local council. The government are going to remove this requirement so you don't need planning permission, this brings the EU flag in line with any national flag.
According to the Express this is a betrayal and a disgrace and "we are surrendering to the EU and we might as well fly the white flag instead"!
Nowhere is it saying that people will be forced to fly the EU flag, or that they cannot fly the British flag - no it is merely that you won't need planning permission to fly it should you wish!

    I'm not British or English - I'm Tarn-ese.

What does that make me, apart from very blinkered and stupid?

It's been like that for years - I recall when I was at college, and that's going back a while, I was informed that when filling in job applications or a CV when writing nationality to put British and not English.

Theres no such thing as English nationality (or Scottish/Welsh for that matter), only British nationality.
Have a look at your passport.
