Is Simon Davey the right man for job? I still feel he has a lot to learn but feel he is doing a decent job and is steadily improving the squad. For years we have seen to many below average players (and managers) but I feel that SD has made some great aquisitions with the likes of Muller, Souza, Anderson, JCR, Macken & Colace looks like another gem. Arguably some of the best players ever seen at Oakwell (in my time anyway). Was very much against his appointment in the begining, but have slowly come round and now back him!
Given enough time, SD could be the best manager we have had in the last 20 years ..........thought the Brian Howard palava was not handled very well But then again, we dont know what happened behind closed doors I still think we are lacking a couple of proven strikers tho
He Still Makes Mistakes........ but he's learning quickly. He's saved his job at least for now and the four year contract we gave him might end up value for money.
Can anyone find one of these polls... From one of his D-Day games? I bet the results are slightly different. Who's in charge doesn't really bother me as long as the team are producing results. And he's got to have been one of the managers who have signed the most (number wise) quality players for us. Then again, that does come with having the job for longer than a year...
Yep that would be very interesting. He is starting to prove himself and I love it how the majority are now backing him. Come crawling out of your hole have we ppl?
This one makes good reading....
http://www.barnsleyfc.org.uk/bbs/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=122479&mid=810148#M810148
Hee hee hee Ho ho ho indeed !!!!

Hardly an appropriate time for that sort of thing is it?
Unlike the "Davey in crowd" who surface after every win the "Davey out crowd" see a little further than one match. Like I said though - now's not the time.

RE: Hardly an appropriate time for that sort of thing is it? lost at home to Sheff U won at home to Watford.... Yep he's a legend.....Davey in....
