make last nights spectactle any better. What can I say to sum up last night ? I would not know where to start. After 34 years of watching the Reds all round the country I can honestly say that must go down as one of the most weak, inept, spineless, pathetic displays I have witnessed by my beloved team. I have always been the eternal optomist and even thought the signing of Davey was a good move but last night he reminded me of Nero fiddling whilst Rome burned around him. He seemd to have no idea what to do to even try and change anything. 2-0 down at home in the FA Cup and only used 1 sub, why not throw Kay on up front, anything just to try and change something

I have no doubts now that we are going down now and by the looks of last nights performance without a fight and that hurts. We all knew it was going to be difficult this season and most of us said that we would be happy with 4th from bottom. That is still obtainable but its a fast receeding dream. You could physically see what little confidence the players have left drain from them as the game went on. Every missed pass was greeted with boo's and so it went on. People both inside and outside the club have to remember that football is a 2 way thing. The players need the fans to get behind them to spur them on to bigger and better things but the fans need the players to give them something in return. After a performance last night it really hurts to think that these players earn several times more in a week than I do, to a job that I would have paid to do. But thats where players and fans differ. To fans BFC is their life and every defeat hurts, and hurts bad, to some of the players on show tlast night it's just a job.

Where do we go from here, I don't know. Some people chanted AR's name last night but seem to forget that most of the players on show last night were either signed by him or given new contracts by him. We were heading down with AR at the helm but playing more attacking football thats all. I can't see Davey going anywhere and I can't see the board removing him either, but can he lift the players for the run to the end of the season, I don't think so. So as a 14 year season ticket holder I will be there agian the next home game and the one after that, and no doubt next season too , but whats going on at my football club hurts.

The famous saying that football is not a matter of life and death, it's more important than that, is ****** of course but every now and again it feels like that

    B.F.C CHAMPIONSHIP FOOTBALL (RIP) :'(

it was all going so well

until you said , "why not throw kay on up front"

can you imagine the derision and hollering if he had done that ! although i agree something needs to be done , winding the clock back to the day before Ar was sacked would be nice.

I know what you mean, but it was just an example. For all I cared he could have put Lucas on but just try something, anything because nothing was happening

"We were heading down with AR at the helm..."

Are you sure?? If I'm allowed to regurgitate what I said on here in the summer.....

"We'll stay up....just. It'll be a long season of struggle, with more than a few spankings on the way, but we'll stay up."

(Might not be word-for-word, but the 'search' function doesn't work for me, so couldn't check.)

Anyone who thought the season was going to be anything other than that was incredibly naive at best. Promoted against the odds, ahead of 'schedule' - we were always going to find it hard, but looking at what AR had got from a pretty mediocre bunch of players at the business end of last season filled me with belief and confidence that when we got to the nitty-gritty this season, they'd produce just enough to keep us up.

Sadly, we'll never find out. The completely myopic, knee-jerk reactions of the club's board and, I'm ashamed to say, far too many fans, saw Ritchie out on his arse. And so it begins all over again - the destructive spiral of ill-thought, 'on-the-cheap' appointments, players' confidence shot to ****, fans screaming for changes. We've seen it all before, of course - you'd have thought 'once bitten....', but apparently not. Personally, I'm just massively relieved that I don't care anymore - not one jot, one iota. Get very few chances to go to games, but I've stopped doing even that. Of course, I pity my friends who still have to endure the horror week-in, week-out, but I just could not give a toss. The club clearly hasn't learnt ANYTHING from recent history and deserve everything they get.

RE: "We were heading down with AR at the helm..."

I agree with every word. Its just my opinion obviousley re AR. We were playing attacking football but conceeding far too many goals and on a regular basis. We had a side who knew they were going to be picked every week and after a reasonable start were slipping ever faster down the league. I did not want AR to go but was still frustrated with him all the same. I would have been more than happy with 4th from bottom this year and consolidate next year, and this is still obtainable. BUT THE SIGNS ARE NOT GOOD, and my hopes are fading .
