I've looked out for Yeovil for the last few years after my old neighbour helped them win promotion to the football league in 2003. I *think* that was the first time at that level and they appear to be heading back out of the league again.

When you've built a team for the Championship and the salaries they would have been paid to the revenues you get in League One and League Two, you have to change things.

"You have to terminate contracts, get people off the books and I'm telling you it's an absolute nightmare in trying to develop your business, because all the time you are having to change people."

    This.

met some Yeovil fans at a services on the M6

many many years ago... they were off to an F.A Cup game (early round) and were non league... I was taking my 13 year old Nephew to Anfield for a treat to see his beloved Liverpool. I also met a load of Yeovil fans when buying a hotdog outside Cardiff City's old ground Ninian Park... again an F.A cup tie... they came across on both occasions as a very decent and affable lot with a total love for their club. I went down to Yeovil a few years back as Barnsley were playing them in a pre season game. I actually sat in with the home fans... I was made most welcome and was able to feel comfortable in showing my support for Barnsley... I so hope they will be OK.

Gary Johnson oversaw their rapid rise from non-league, maybe his boy will oversee our rapid fall to non-league. A certain symmetry?
