The definiton of internet trolling

Targeted harassment towards someone online. Say attempting to antagonize them by calling them the wrong name or repeatedly saying they are from a place they could not place on a map? Doing this over and over again for a year. Well yes I would say that is pretty accurate.

A person on a football forum voicing honest opinions to open discussion, let off steam when not happy with how things are at the club? hmmm, sounds like the whole point of the site to me.

Seriously you can ridicule me for liking Akinfenwa that is your opinion. Have a go at me for not being Liam Lindsay's number one fan. Say OGC you're so stupid for not being overjoyed with the head coach appointment.

But the fact of the matter is there is only one OnGoingCloud. My real name is Björn and I am originally from Karlstad in Sweden. Have not put too much about the Scandinavian leagues & players on here because I assume a lack of interest.

I am happy to give advice to anyone wanting to travel to the Nordic regions, I've seen a few posts on folks trips.​

I've lived in Barnsley most of my life (and yes ENG vs SWE was awkward) but I do intend to move back to my homeland in the future because the landscapes, people, food etc. are more to my tastes plus there's better wages, maternity leave for men and so forth.

Anyway this Hemsworth Tyke guy. Truthfully in the BBS world never really came across this member. If I'm not mistaken have spoken to him in the real world. Has long hair and a beard, one of those types who will talk to anyone. My mate told me it was him a long time after we were on speak to each other 4 games a season terms. Remember conversing with him at a youth match last season. Can't really say too much more on the matter.

I must say for much of the time I just think well I don't know what they are talking about so just ignore them. But now we're at the point some people call me phil every single comment I think it is time to record straight.

Hate me with all your might if you like but if you must refer to myself at least refrain from incorrect names. I never thought it necessary for people to know my identity on here but so be it.

I don't think anyone "hates" you at all. It's the just the combination of slightly outlandish opinions (absolutely fine) plus the constant repetition of them that seems to have irked some people.

What I will say is that if you really are Swedish but support Barnsley then absolutely fair play and massive respect to you, despite our differering opinions on Liam Lindsay and Adebayo Akinfenwa!

It's the way he's like a dog with a bone. Posts something provocative that he knows most will disagree with then goes on a last word fest for days on end, sometimes coming back to the post after having a day off.

 

I'm beginning to think that letting him have the first word and last word with nothing in between is the only answer.
You get to the point with certain posters where there's absolutely no point debating with them because you know they're not interested in debate but just want the attention and the arguments.

 

Does targeted harassment have to be directed at one person or at the club via a small section of its fanbase?

I don't see any difference between the two. Both are designed to get a reaction.

Swede or no Swede, with the age of your current profile you would know who "Hemsworth Tyke" is when he was referenced. Instead you made a schoolboy error and gave it the old "who's he?" ********. Then there is the editing out of all references to "Phil", "Hemmsy" or "HT" when replying to a post. It's given you away, Phil!
