That Sormaz is quoted in the communication suggests he's going nowhere. That in itself seems worrying to me. They could easily have just done the quotes from Parekh and given themselves time to evaluate and analyse operations and do a deeper dive to understand the collective errors that have led to this season being an abortion.

I think sacking Clarke has been on the cards for a fair few weeks. He's done some childish things and not helped himself, but he was never the right appointment from the start. If you want to play a pressing style, you need to appoint someone who knows how to do it. Then give them the base resource to give them a chance to succeed. And thats before you get to personnel on the pitch.

If we want to play the front footed aggressive press, you have to look at our players and wonder where the nous and energy is going to come from. We don't look fit playing pedestrian paced football, let alone a fast paced constant press.

 

The current squad at Oakwell couldn't press a flower they're an unfit unmotivated rabble and the guy responsible for saddling the club with a squad not fit for purpose who is also the guy responsible for saddling the club with piss poor head coaches is still in a job and will be responsible for identifying and recruiting the next head coach and the next set of players. You couldn't make this **** up, what are the board thinking do they not see what is so obvious to everyone else the DoF needs to go and go NOW.
