Although I think Hill has failed tactically this season. 8 players all down the middle when attacking was awful. No space for anyone unlike earlier in the season. Think Don Rowing now has to take responsibility, he let us down with the Vaz Te, Hammill fees etc. And the pat he's played keeping fans away. His ticketing policy is very amateurish. Why not over Xmas like most clubs to a £10 or £5 ticket offer. Feel his decisions have contributed to lack of atmosphere and made Oakwell a very easy place for an away side to come. The Wednesday game was a big example, why not fill the ground with an hostile home crowd backing the team. There is just no business sense there at all. And seems like manager who struggled working under him has been blamed. Although it still puzzled me why Hill didn't stick with a proven system of earlier this season. Just like last season after Xmas.
He does the job that PC pays him to do and I imagine that if he wasn't doing what he was contracted to do Pat would sack him. Do people on here really believe PC wouldn't act if Don wasn't achieving the objectives set.
Don must think he is still at S****horpe - he's doing well though..down to 7,500 home supporters now and if we do go down we could be on par with Scunny..only getting 5,000 at every home game! But £28 is a fair ticket price and supporters are just using that as an excuse not to come, right?
how many tickets (home) are sold on average right now and what price would you suggest , I guess yo will say half that price. But right now even at half price do you reckon people will come to watch a losing team? Hmmm is that difficult for you ?
If we made it 50p for the next game we'd not fill it. Personally I think that people just can't be arsed coming to watch Barnsley. I agree there needs to be big changes at the club but all this constant slagging of the don is pathetic. Other than P C saving the club in all reality we've never structured the club in terms of chairman/ directors since we come out of administration which ultimately is niw coming back to bite us on the arse. We do need a big shake up starting from the very top but I honestly think that Mr Rowing is doing all he can with the resources he has at his dispose.
The first priority is new manager new start new tactics prune deadwood, and then see if that improves crowd. £20 a good price for rest of season. If that does not work then we are up the creek without a paddle
£20...... I think that is a good sensible price guide till the end of the season. Lets try and get a few more thousand bodies down and make some noise, it's a case of now or never really.
