or what he means to say is a bumper crowd by this season's average but a normal crowd compared to last year. P*ss poor away support again. http://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/football/barnsley/reds_bank_on_bumper_crowd_1_3980865
It says since the 20,000 mate, but the next best was 14,219 Boxing Day against Burnley so he must think we will beat that.
He must know the ticket sales - surely. But we normally get about 8,500 to 9,000 tarn fans.. so with 2,000 Pikeys, he must be expecting another 3,000 part-timers.. optimistic methinks.. Although, a lot of Pikeys are paying on the day allegedly..
They've only sold 1500 and l think the eticketing map is the most up to date thing, the box office sales will be linked to that. Doesn't show a huge amount in sales so the Don's using guess work. http://www.eticketing.co.uk/barnsleyfc/details/event.aspx?itemref=1232
You are hereSport>Football>Barnsley Sponsored byReds bank on bumper crowd Barnsley FC Published on Friday 18 November 2011 09:30 BARNSLEY director Don Rowing is hoping the club achieve their highest crowd of the season in tomorrow’s derby with Doncaster Rovers. Rovers fans have bought 1,500 tickets for the only South Yorkshire derby in the Championship. And with that figure expected to swell, Rowing anticipates what could be the club’s highest attendance since 20,309 fans packed into Oakwell to watch the Reds beat Leeds United 4-1 last season. Hmm shoddy journo yet again. Oh and I think 12,500 tomorrow
They've sold less than 2,000 http://www.keepmoatstadium.com/index.php/ticket_information/rovers_away_games
Over 11,000 tickets sold in total then, and then we'll have the pay on the day. We had 10,564 home supporters at the same fixture last year so its safe to say with the pay on the day supporters tomorrow that the missing 1,500 have returned. Cheaper tickets don't make a difference and all that.....
From Donny keepmoat site earlier today - Ticket Sales 1803 Ticket Information We have received an allocation of 1572 tickets from Barnsley FC -SOLD OUT We have received a further allocation of 450 tickets from Barnsley FC So hopefully those other 200 will go today to make a nice 2000 in advance. With a bit of look they might have 500 pay on the day - 2500 wouldn't be bad going for bottom of the league - even if it is a close cheap game. I'm hoping for at least 10000 home fans, maybe 10500 minimum giving a minimum crowd of 13000, 14-15000 would be fantastic but I can't see it. Spread the word to all your friends & family tonight/tomorrow and try push it as much as possible, show that cheaper tickets do work!!
A lot of our areas have now gone under 40% and changed to "limited availabilty". http://www.eticketing.co.uk/barnsleyfc/details/event.aspx?itemref=1232
Good to see that Nice to know lower ticket prices means we will have more there tomorrow than for the same fixture last season
Cant be ar*ed to work it out but looking at that map of the ground l'd say we have broken the 10,000 mark for home ticket sales. Would have struggled to get 10,000 it total had the original price stuck. Proves a point.
