If you weren't melancholy when you logged on here you certainly will be when you logoff. Let's face it, Davey is the manager and he isn't many people's first choice, but shall we give him a chance? Unproven managers have to start their careers somewhere and none of us know yet whether Davey has what it takes, but I am sure he will do better, the club will do better, if the fans get behind them. Imagine if you were Davey logging on here today? I don't have a problem with a whinge and a moan on here, it's all part of the craic, but its getting a little personal and vitriolic and I just wonder if folk are getting a little carried away? I'm not overly chuffed with the appointment either but shall we give him a few games in before we dismiss him altogether? Being permanent is a lot different to being acting, day 2 of the transfer window and folk are already moaning we haven't made a big name signing yet. Let'sgive them a chance? I've never seen Williamson play, if he does sign perhaps he could do a job for us? Admittedly midifeld might not seem our priority but if we can't keep Howard then maybe he would be a shrewd signing? It's my birthday, don't be such heavy breadheads, man.
I imagined being Davey this morning And in the spirit of playing Robbie Williams in central midfield I had my cereals in a cup and my tea soaked up in a sponge.
I think we all wish Davey well And so far there have been no real personal attacks on him There is a problem that is universally accepted on this board that he has made some tactical errors in his recent games - hopefully he is a fast learner if he isnt then we will be relegated simple really. I really hope he proves the doubters (me included ) wrong and we make good use of the transfer window and start to climb to safety. Nothing I have seen so far gives me hope though
