Yes, it is about time they sorted out the climate so we have a nice even 20C every day with rain overnight to help the crops grown. Surely by now we can control the environment...

I used to work for the EA. A good bunch and very dedicated people who spend half their time being ignored about all matters of environmental issue by politicians who know bugger all.

Technically I work for them now - or at least for the next few months I do server support for the company with the contract for their IT support. EA do mainly do good work, but it doesn't help when the government slash their budget during the middle of the worst flooding in the country for years.

I think they're crap. We've not had any snow yet this winter! What are they playing at, get some snow organised. I love snow.

More and more budget cuts From a government who's interest in the issue is zero. Blame the politicians not the people who work there.

Remember Dave and his trip to the Arctic to have his photo taken with a husky? Then only a few months ago he says he wants to "get rid of all this green crap". Now he's on about dredging as if it's the solution, when it plainly isnt and in some cases could make it worse.

ie. when you remove silt from a river it increases the speed at which it flows whilst only marginally increasing the amount of water it can hold. He's been told this several times but still keeps repeating it, presumably because understandably angry residents also think this is the solution.

Prince Charles has visited Somerset. Where is Cameron, spouting up Scotland trying to stop them going Independent. Meanwhile England is sinking. He has not got the guts to go down there as they would lynch him

Lets not talk about something you know nothing about.

Do work for them and there always up against it for funding.
