The evening of 25 July is the worst time I've had in my life so far.

I have been in our living room while The Powers That Be (my beloved wife) told WCU Tyke, ZCU Tyke and their sister Danielle that she has terminal cancer. I can't imagine how they feel, but I know they must feel worse than me and I'm absolutely devastated.

Operation to remove the primary tumour and the attached kidney will hopefully take place on Monday which will remove the worst of the pain.

Talk about life's rollercoaster..... at the end of May Will described Cardiff as the best day of his life, Zoe too!! They've now just experienced the worst!

I don't know what to say.

I've lost relatives to cancer, it's so horrible it's untrue.

Ask her what dreams she still has and try and make them come true - if there's somewhere she wants to go, take her, anything she wants to do, make sure she does it.

My best wishes are with you and your family.

Sometimes we don't realise just how bloody lucky we are until we read something like your post.I can't imagine what you are going through right now. However,my thoughts are with you and the kids. If you need anything at all, whether it just be a shoulder to cry on, then you know where I am.

really puts things into perspective with some of the bickering that goes on in this board.

 

I don't normally respond to stuff like this on the board as I feel that I am a stranger to you and it feels wrong for a stranger to be wishing you well (thats how I would feel anyway), however, I have to say that you strike me as a lovely chap with who loves his family a great deal and you do not deserve this. i suppose hope has now gone, but we can still wish for things to go as painlessly and as smoothly as possible. I hope the kids find the strength to get over this and that you have the strength to support them.
