    From "Latics Mad":

"players don't care about the blue shirt"

"There are tales already of dejected fans expressing their disbelief at what has happened to our play-off seeking team. One fan left the Barnsley game after the 3rd. goal went in and he pulled out his season ticket and ripped out the rest of his vouchers for the rest of the season. He had reached his breaking point as he was protesting at the 1980's style football our manager has the team playing. He also vowed that he would not attend another game at Boundary Park as long as Ronnie Moore is manager, apart from the David Eyres testimonial.
The reasons for his change in heart after six years of following the blues is that he sees players who don't care about the blue shirt. He considers that they are there for the money and the money only. In his eyes, why should the hard working fans pay players wages when they dont care about the club or the fans. He has already decided that he will not renew his season ticket next season as this season has been a huge disappoitment for him."

Can't help but feel that's a bit of an overreaction given their recent form, but funny nonetheless.

    Blimey!

They've had a marvellous run of late. What's up with people? They're still in with a sniff of going up too!
