Waking up on a Saturday morning knowing you are going for a few pints with lads then to oakwell Looking forward to the game You redsss Ohhhh Bobby hassell Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
unfortunately can't be there as we are away. i have programmed my hi tech, Suuntu sports GPS Smart watch with the circuit / route for the day. Derby Ale trail.
I'm really looking forward to it. It appears the majority of folk are in a depressed frame of mind with regards to the upcoming season, but not me. As one of the club's optimistic, rose tinted specs wearing fans incapable of reasoned & rational thought, I can't wait. One day I'll grow up, mature and start acting my age. But not today.
Sacked friendlies off years ago. Thanks for the loyal service Sir Bobby but my cash is needed elsewhere
Can't see the point misen. Spud Murphy was the last testimonial I went to and that wa shlte, they all are. Open golf for thereev
Decided to watch GB v France in Davis Cup this aft. 1 - 1 . from yesterday. Looks like it could be Andy & Jamie Murray in Doubles. Sorry Bobby!
Testimonials are a step down even from the training pitch mindset of friendlies. I'll watch some Ashes instead before I go out.
Each to their own but said it thousand times if going to matches was just about the game I would have stopped years ago. Meeting lads for a few pints before and after makes the day worth while . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Testimonials aren't about watching a competitive game of football. They are about watching a selection of favourite players and thanking someone for giving long service. To complain they aren't competitive enough and so you're not going is like complaining a cup of tea isn't as yellow as a banana so you aren't going to drink anything
When going to football becomes a chore I'll stop going simple as that. I enjoy the day win lose or draw . More things to worry about it life than getting promoted/relegated . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Bobby had been a loyal servant and I wish him all the best. However the players earn more than enough from the game to warrant a testimonial although I believe the money is going to charity. In the Costa Del Sol so can't go but wouldn't have gone anyway. Football is too overpriced as it is even though I can afford it! Think I may take the plunge and go to Chesterfield though.
