The second meeting was supposed to be with Barnsley Council and all interested parties on the 17th. Was that just a rumour, or is it going ahead? Will we be any the wiser after that?

It was in a post last week. Don't know who said it. Not easy keeping up with rumours on here.

Puts me in mind of an exchange between the great F.E. Smith (later Lord Birkenhead) and a Judge:

Judge: I've listened to you for an hour and I'm none the wiser.
Smith: None the wiser, perhaps, my lord but certainly better informed!

    :)

Nice one, I like classy quotes in a post. I feel neither wiser, nor better informed at the moment, but as usual with my club, prepared for imminent disaster from many angles.

But surely the meetings aren't linked. By the first meeting I assume you mean last nights supporters trust meeting which was not a takeover meeting. The second meeting I assume is takeover related. I personally don't expect to hear anything from the club until there is something concrete to say. As such I see them as two unrelated meetings topic wise other than the fact that they involve BFC.

Absolutely! However they were billed as two meetings that are very important to the future of the club, after which we should know more. I'm not linking them, I'm simply asking whether there was any news of the second one taking place. If it is, then it is supposed to be tomorrow.

Is the meeting with the council anything to do with the Sunderland job ?

Doubt it, but everything to do with the takeover I should think.
